Levin to seek re-election to end the “rubber stamp” Congress

Apparently Michigan Republicans will have another tough go at picking up a seat in the US Senate next election cycle.

Senator Carl Levin, who will be taking over the chairmanship of the Senate’s Arm Services Committee, will be seeking another 6 year term in 2008.

This is disheartening news for Republicans who were hoping to have a crack at winning an open seat since their loss to current 1 term incumbent Debbie Stabenow last time around.

It is rumored that current Congressman Mike Rogers and current Congresswoman Candice Miller have been considering challenging Mr. Levin.
