More residents are leaving Michigan than any other state
by: Richard Burr
“Michigan is tied for first with North Dakota (which has good academic achievement, by the way) for the highest percentage of households leaving the state (66 percent) comes on the heels of a Census Bureau report finding that Michigan was sixth in the nation for losing people to other states from 2000-06.”
Senator McCain blogs on Power Line
Here is a link to Senator McCain’s blog on the Iraq war from Powerline. **Note for some reason it does not seem to be working at the moment.
Here are an excerpt posted over at Hugh Hewitt:
“We have made many mistakes since 2003, and these will not be easily reversed. But from everything I witnessed on my most recent visit, I believe that success is still possible. Even greater than the costs incurred thus far and in the future are the catastrophic consequences that would ensue from our failure in Iraq. By surging troops and bringing security to Baghdad and other areas, we will give the Iraqis the best possible chance to succeed. Our national security, and that of our friends and allies, compels us to make our best effort to prevail, and to do it now.”
