Some Michigander’s are re-thinking their support for Romney
I found this post over at Eye on 08′.
David Brody from the Christian Broadcast Network reports that “members of Romney’s steering committee in
Michigan… are now having reservations about recent revelations about Romney’s past comments in regards to marriage, abortion and the Boy Scouts.”
According to the article these individuals, whose support seems to be wavering, are likely to “jump ship.” Their support could go to a candidate with a better track record on such issues, like Sam Brownback.
This is not the only instance as of late where Romney supporters are opting to relinquish their support for the Governor. Swing State sees this as a direct consequence of Team Romney’s inability to effectively handle media criticism concerning his conservative credentials.
On a related note, Romney also let fly with another media blunder as of late when he choose to not ”weigh in” on the future of the Iraq war. See this post over at GOP Progress for one insiders take on why this hurts Romney.
