Granholm announces huge budget defict

An article from the Detroit News reports that Michigan will be facing a combined 1 billion dollar deficit upon entering the new fiscal year.  It also adds that with the lost revenue from the SBT we are looking at an actual hole of somewhere between 3 to 4 billion dollars.

Meanwhile the Governor continues to tout her Economic plan that is now in place and working (trying not to laugh) to create economic avenues and diversify Michigan’s economy. 

Granholm adds that huge spending cuts will need to be made along with possible tax increases in addition to a replacement for the SBT.

Do we really have to put up with for more years of this from Lansing????
